Amed is located on the north-east coast of Bali & the village itself covers amazing views of Mount Agung. The Amed area reflects tranquility and the scenery with the surrounding mountains is just breathtaking & lovely! Amed is famous for friendly underwater conditions and that’s because of the generally calm currents. This peaceful fishing village typically has beautiful, clear and warm waters where you take a local fishing boat to one of the many dive sites. These friendly conditions makes almost all of the Amed dive sites to be perfectly suitable for beginner divers. 

Dive Sites Around Amed

Amed Wall is one of the most popular dive sites in the area. This is a very easy diving site in Amed perfect for beginners and underwater macro photographers!

Also a boat dive Amed Wall can be a good drift when the current picks up. The vertical wall of 10 to 70 meters in depth, rich in Gorgonias,
the coral reef is very rich, sheltering a multitude of Nudibranchs and Reef fish. In here where you have the chance of seeing Black Tip Reef Sharks,
Big Groupers and the occasional Manta or Tuna.

The dive is just a 5 minute boat ride away from the shore in a traditional Jukung. Pyramids gets its name from
the artificially created reefs that the local dive community has built in that are in the shapes of pyramids.

The structures attract all sorts of life like Snappers, Puffers, Ghost Pipefish, Nudibranchs and so on.
Besides the artificial reef the is also the natural reef where you can spot Stingrays, Garden Eels,
Harlequin Sweet lips, Pygmy seahorses, Frogfishes, Ribbon Eels and much more.

  • 2,5 hour drive from Sanur to Amed village
  • 10 minutes boat ride to the dive site
  • Return to your hotel around 5:00pm
