Scuba Diving in Padang Bai and Candi Dada are some of the best around Bali.
The coral landscape is impressive and due to the strong currents at times, you can often find pelagic fish here such as sharks and, in the right season, mola mola.

From Padang bai you can also easily go diving to 3 small islands located further North: Mimpang, Tepekong, Biaha. Currents can be tricky (up and down currents meeting horizontal currents) but on other days can be as calm as a mill-pond.

GILI TEPEKONG AND MIMPANG

Gili Tepekong and Mimpang are often regarded as the most challenging dive sites in Bali.
A wide variety of conditions make this advanced and interesting. Advanced diving is always a challenge.
This is not a sheltered coastal area, so anything may happen!

Tepekong offers some of the most impressive diving in Bali. Great walls, the canyon,
strong currents coupled with superb coral and marine life makes this a dive for experienced divers only.

DIVE SITES AROUND GILI

GILI TEPEKONG

It takes 20 minutes boat ride from shore. Gili Tepekong is an advanced dive site located close to the Amuk Bay area.

It features a rocky underwater landscape with steep drop-offs and impressive underwater formations. You can expect to encounter colorful corals, schools of fish, and there is even the possibility to see some pelagics such as black and white tip reef sharks, barracuda, stingrays, and sometimes Mola (Sunfish), especially from July to October.

However, the currents can be strong and unpredictable, But you can trust in the experienced our dive guides to keep you safe while having great diving experience.

GILI MIMPANG

Gili Mimpang is close by Gili Tepekong, in the Amuk Bay. Three large rocks on a surface, Steep slope combined with drop off, it challenging dive sites for more experienced divers due to its challenging conditions, including currents and varying depths.

Gili Mimpang is characterized by a series of submerged pinnacles and rocky formations, creating a maze-like underwater landscape. Divers can explore crevices and swim-throughs, encountering diverse marine life, vibrant corals, and opportunities to spot larger fish species.

GILI BIAHA

Continuing further east from Gili Mimpang, you’ll arrive at Gili Biaha. Biaha is famous with sleeping shark inside the caves. Gili Biaha is one of Bali’s most breath-taking sites. Biaha can be quite surgy but it’s worth it for the dramatic wall, waves crashing overhead, and the diversity of marinelife.

This dive site offers another opportunity for advanced divers to explore unique underwater formations. Gili Biaha features a large rock pinnacle surrounded by deep waters, creating a habitat for various marine species. The site includes overhangs, swim-throughs, and vertical walls covered in colorful corals.

TAKED POINT

A newest dive site “TAKED” is an underwater pinnacle with stunning and varied terrain. Taked is a diver’s paradise in Bali. With its stunning marine life, unique cave system, and challenging conditions, any experienced diver must visit it.

It’s important to note that it can be challenging for inexperienced divers due to the strong currents and depth. The dive site ranges from 15-40+ meters, so it’s recommended that you have at least an advanced open water certification before diving here.

This dive site is located in open ocean between Gili Tepekong and Gili Biaha, small islands on the southeast coast of Bali, just a 30 min boat ride from the shore. An exciting opening invites us inside a cavern which extends back meters into the rock structure and allows us an up-close encounter with the sharks and marble rays inside.
